American Business Magnate Jeff Bezos is all set to fly to space on the first crewed flight of the New Shepard, which will be taking off on July 20. The rocket ship is made by his space company called Blue Origin.

Outwitting other business tycoons in daredevilry, he will be flying along his younger brother, Mark Bezos. He will also be joining the flight, reported CNN.

“Ever since I was five years old, I’ve dreamed of traveling to space. On July 20th, I will take that journey with my brother. The greatest adventure, with my best friend,” Bezos mentioned in an Instagram caption.

“To see the Earth from space, it changes you,” Mr Bezos was seen saying in the video captured that he shared on Instagram.

“I want to go on this flight because it’s a thing I’ve wanted to do all my life.. It’s a big deal for me,” he added.

If Bezos’ plan is executed, then, he will be the first of the mega billionaire space tycoons to ride out to space with the project he has developed and poured millions for its outcome. Apart from SpaceX founder Elon Musk, British billionaire Richard Branson from Virgin Galactic is also in the planning phase to experience flights to suborbital space for ultra-wealthy thrill seekers.

“To see the Earth from space, it changes you, changes your relationship with this planet, with humanity. It’s one Earth,” Jeff says in the Instagram video.

“I want to go on this flight because it’s a thing I’ve wanted to do all my life. It’s an adventure. It’s a big deal for me.” admits the Amazon founder.

This will be Blue Origin’s first ever flight with humans. Bezos and his brother are likely to be joined by a winner of an ongoing auction in their space adventure. The auction for that particular open seat will end on Saturday, and has so far seen the participation of 6,000 people from 143 countries. The winning bid currently stands at $2.8 million, and the final auction amount will go to Blue Origin’s foundation, Club for the Future, that works towards inspiring younger generations to pursue interests in STEM fields.
