One of the most prestigious national-level entrance exams, JEE Mains 2021 has been probed by CBI under an investigation. The renowned engineering entrance exam has now became a controversy.

It has came into the light that the computer used for conduct of this online exam were hacked and manipulated illegally by a private coaching institute. CBI has speculated that the incident may had occured at more then 1 exam centre in a particular region.

CBI reports claims that the institute allegedly asked its students to choose a particular exam centre which was already manipulated. The institute then remotely attempted the exam on behalf of students to make them score high marks.

During the investigation process, CBI has reported irregularities at an exam centre in Sonipat, Haryana. However, CBI has not yet revealed that the network of this centres is either extended to other cities or not.

As of now, CBI has arrested 7 accused and a number of other person are still under questioning. CBI has still kept the details of this persons confidential as it is being said that the accused include some famous names.

Other then the accused and CBI, questions are also being raised on the National Testing Agency or NTA which is the organising body of JEE Main. The security of NTA’s examination system is being considered very weak.

As the investigation is still under process, CBI has asked the NTA to hold the declaration of JEE Main results which has left all the engineering aspirants in a mid-stream and has left a question mark on their career.

If the CBI investigation goes on for a long duration and the scam is revealed at a large extent then it is most probable that the NTA will cancel the JEE Main 2021 exam which might result in a chaos among students.

According to JEE experts, NTA has the stand-alone rights to cancel the exam in any circumstances. The NTA has a very limited options in response of this issue and thus cancellation becomes a major option.
