The Central Board of Secondary Education has started the annual counseling for all parents and students that will be appearing for this year’s boards. The Programme will last till April 4, 2019. This Programme conducted by CBSE will be the 22nd psychological counseling service provided to help students and parents for reducing stress.

Free toll-free service has been provided by CBSE, the toll-free helpline number 1800118004 will work 24X7 for resolving exam-related issues, however, the tele-counselling will only be available from 8AM to 10PM. The Counselling will also be available via emails. Tele-counselling is being provided from 22 separate locations outside India for students and parents.

The Tele-counseling service includes pre-recorded information on tackling board exams, tips for better preparation, time and stress management, FAQ along with live counseling sessions at the official website.

Various Counselors are available to students, parents, teachers and other stakeholders, a total of 87 counselors are available, out of which 22 are placed in foreign.

The CBSE also presented a comprehensive audio-visual presentation called ‘Knowing Children Better’ at its official website.

The various categories that have been presented also include real-time experiences and problems of adolescents with suggesting different measures to tackle stress issues. The ‘Counseling tab’ on the homepage is responsible for accessing the same.
