Christ University, founded by Kuriakose Elias Chavara (1805-1871), an educationalist and a social reformer of the nineteenth century South India and is one of the most deemed Universities all over India is the first indigenous Syrian Catholic religious congregation in India. Christ University is a private University and has ranked among the top ten Universities for Undergraduate courses as ranked by India Today group. Every year, approximately 16000-18000 students get themselves enrolled in Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs.

Coming Wednesday, it will be a fortunate day for the entire University as it completes it’s golden fifty years since the establishment. It has taught over 65000 students in Bangalore

University received NAAC accreditation in 1998, A+ accreditations in 2005 and 2016 and in 2008, it was programmed to inculcate the culture,” said Fr Abraham VM, pro-vice-chancellor of Christ University.

July 11, Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi will deliver the Golden Jubilee address.

July 21, Anil D Sahasrabudhe, chairman of AICTE is the chief guest.

Alumni members including Sudha Murthy, Infosys Foundation chairperson, MN Reddi, DGP (fire and emergency services), Krishna Byre Gowda, minister for rural development and Panchayat Raj and journalist Raj Chengappa will be the guests on these days to celebrate the year. Apart from this, Mysore Maharaja Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar and Nandan Nilekani, Infosys Co-Founder will also attend the celebrations.

Christ University shall celebrate its years of success and count the innumerable number of achievements in raising the young minds of India.
