The Indian Education Network organized their 7th Higher Education Conclave 2019 in Delhi. The Summit consisted the presence of many delegates from higher education institutions including industry veterans and representatives from the Ministry of HRD, AICTE and other Government Authorities who discussed their thoughts on improving the higher education system of India.

Before the Summit started, Mr. Kunwar Shekar Vijendra, Chancellor of Shobhit University asserted the facts about brain-drain in the country. He also mentioned the students of India preferring to study outside India, whereas international students only visit India as a tourist and not to study.

During the summit, there were discussions which included the role of education in nation building being the primary stage of success. This was followed by a panel discussion on the role of regulators in promoting higher education. Discussions also included the demand and supply in the higher education system.

Taking the discussion further, the next point was about how to make India a hub for innovation, creativity, and leadership for international students. With the largest population in the world are from the age group of 5 to 25, India requires hundred- thousands of universities, schools, and colleges to reach out to the dynamic talent pool it has. But prior to this, the Government needs to enhance the educational quality of India and provide best and advanced education in India for our own students. In the end, a short discussion was held over the integration of skill development in higher education.

The Summit ended with an award ceremony felicitating candidates and dignitaries with Awards for Excellence in the education sector.

Ramesh Bidhuri, MP – South Delhi was the Chief Guest at the Higher Education Summit 2019. He said, “We need to encourage kids and the millennial to analysis and understand what exactly they want to do and pursue. They need to work hard towards their dreams and explore the right path to walk on.”
