The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has released the Evaluation criteria for preparing the results of class 12 students who were enrolled for Senior Secondary Certificate Exams.

Since the MP Board exams for class 10 and 12 were cancelled due to the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, The state government ordered the school education board to devise a suitable alternate marking scheme for students.

The State School Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar shared information regarding this evaluation policy. He stated that the students of class 12 will be evaluated on the basis of their individual performance in Class 10.

All the regular and private students will declared as Pass. The respective Board will later share a detailed plan with the schools for subject-wise marking of scores and tabulation of overall results.

The School education department also informed about this announcement via its official twitter handle. Any further updates regarding this will be published on the website of department and MPBSE.

Similar to CBSE and ICSE Boards, MPBSE has also made a provision to offer a additional chance for students to appear in improvement exams incase they are not satisfied with their results based on the Board’s evaluation criteria.

However, this exams will only be conducted when the situations around pandemic normalises in the state. All other details regarding this exams will be shared after the declaration of Class 10 and 12 results.

Earlier then MP Board, the School Education Board of Odisha and Maharashtra has declared their own evaluation policy for assessment of Class 12 students.

Other then the State Boards, the Central Board of Secondary Education or CBSE has also released its evaluation criteria for Class 12 which is based on the student’s performance in Class 10, 11 and 12.

CBSE is going to use the 40:30:30 formula for assessment of students where 40 percent marks are from Class 12 pre-Boards and Mid-term exams, 30 percent from the final results of Class 11 and the rest 30 percent from the Class 10 Board exam results.
