The All India Council for technical Education (AICTE) has issued the new proposed Academic Calendar for upcoming session 2021-22 on 6th may. The Council released the Calendar on its official website. The calendar mentions important dates regarding the counselling rounds and commencement of classes.

According to the calendar, The session shall begin with completion of first round of counselling and admissions for the alloted seats to students will end on 31st august, 2021. Classes for newly admitted and existing students of technical courses will commence from september 1.

The calendar also mentioned that the process of grant approval should be completed by 30 June for all the institutions which would conduct online classes other then standalone PGDM and PGCM colleges. Also, 15th of July would be the last date to complete the affiliation procedure by associated universities and boards.

The admissions to courses in PGDM and PGCM colleges will end up on 10 July, 2021 and for open and distance learning/online learning mode will be september 1, 2021 and February 1, 2022 respectively for session 1 and session 2. The council has already released detailed guidelines for open and distance learning (ODL) programmes to be offered in session 2021-22.

This guidelines are based on the rules and instructions provided by the University grants commision (UGC) for the intake of students in ODL courses and in conventional or standard courses offered by the universities and colleges.
