The National students Union of India (NSUI) has wrote a letter to the the Vice Chancellor of Delhi University (DU), Mr. P C Joshi demanding to cancel the exams for Final semester students in the view of Corona Virus pandemic.

In the letter, the national secretary of NSUI, Lokesh Chugh cited the reason for this demand that it will be unfavorable for the students to appear in exams risking lives of themselves and their families when the pandemic is at its peak.

Lokesh chugh also said that “India is facing a double crisis situation wherein on one hand the country is already fighting against the pandemic and in the middle of that we are now also fighting against the new epidemic that is Black Fungus.”

He added that, “The situation is deteriorating and is out of control of the govt, In such conditions it is not at all justified to put additional pressure on students regarding the examination.”

The delhi university has decides to conduct the final semester exams from June 7, which were earlier scheduled from May 15 but was postponed later. Although DU is considering other mode of examinations but it has no plans to defer the exams.

The university has also released a notification regarding the same and have mentioned that the new datesheet and guidelines of examination will be released soon by the university on its official website.

While interacting with the media regarding the demand, Mr. Lokesh chugh took over the government with his words. He said that there no family except the multimillionaires of the country who are left unaffected by the pandemic. The government has miserably failed in controlling the pandemic situations.

Calling students to exam halls in such conditions is like playing with their lives. If the government and authorities fails to complete there demands then NSUI will be forced to protest on behalf of the students community for their well being.
