The Rajasthan Government has decided to review textbooks and syllabus of children from Class 1 to 12. For this, the govt has set up a committee of experts and educationists to perform the desired changes.

Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasara argued that the BJP Govt has neglected history, culture, and great personalities in the curriculum of schools.

“The previous government had made certain changes in syllabus for fulfilling its political interest. Our government is against politics in education and keeping that in mind, committees have been set up to review the syllabus,” the minister said.

For Classes 1 to 8, the committee will be headed by  I V Trivedi, while the committee for Class 9 to 12 will be headed by former chairman of Rajasthan State Public Service Commission BM Sharma.

The committees are instructed to submit the reports by February 20.
