Sony Liv is coming up with very interesting content marking its name within the minds of the Indian audience alongside Netflix and Amazon Prime. Their recently released web series ‘Scam 1992’ has garnered a lot of appreciation across the nation breaking the typical style of web shows. The ten episodic saga became very popular in no time. And now Sony Liv is all set to present a dark comedy series titled ‘A Simple Murder’ trailer of which was released just today.
The story is about Manish (Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub) who is driven by greed to kill someone. But the murder goes wrong, and Manish finds himself in one trouble after the other. Zeeshan gets a nemesis in Amit Sial, who now wants to avenge his girlfriend’s death. A Simple Murder also features Sushant Singh, Priya Anand, Yashpal Sharma, Gopal Datt, and Ayaz Khan. It’s written by Prateek Payodhi and directed by Sachin Pathak, who last directed the ZEE5 series Rangbaaz Phirse.
The prime and interesting part of this series is that it is a blend of mystery and comedy of errors. The cast and dialogues are also a major highlight as we see it in the trailer. Amit Sial and Zeeshan Ayyub have so far played a supporting role alongside various superstars. Now, it will be great to see them in a full-fledged role.
And the best part is that this series was shot in 41 days during the pandemic. Talking about the dame, the director had shared, “We successfully shot 41 days following all guidelines in Hyderabad, Amritsar, and Delhi. Thank u so much everyone for this wonderful journey of #simplemurder. It was a fun ride though there is a pandemic situation all over we came out safe and sound.”
A Simple Murder will be streaming from November 20, only on Sony Liv.
