When you are a superpower in the world, you have to face big challenges too. Although, the Coronavirus pandemic has affected the whole world, America has witnessed its devastating effects the most. The country which has the highest number of cases, saw another one join  its growing list. Comedian DL Hughley has tested positive for the virus.

Hughley was performing a stand-up on stage in Nashville, Tennessee when he collapsed. He lost his consciousness while performing at Zanies Comedy Night Club on Friday night. Initially, the doctors treated him for dehydration and exhaustion.

After the incident, the comedian posted a video on Twitter and explained that he didn’t have any common symptoms of the Coronavirus. In the video he said,  “I was what they call asymptomatic. I didn’t have any symptoms, the classic symptoms.”

The comedian was scheduled to perform for four nights at the club. However after he collapsed, the two remaining nights are cancelled as per the club’s online website.

Typical symptoms of the virus are shortness of breath and fever. Though, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention list fatigue as one of the symptoms of the virus.

The comedian has quarantined himself at his Nashville hotel for 14 days. The club where he performed, Zanies posted a message for him on Facebook. In their message they showed their support and love for him.

Apart from being a comedian, Hughley is also an actor, author and radio and television host. In 2000, Hughley starred in Spike Lee’s concert film ‘The Original Kings of Comedy’. The movie also starred Steve Harvey, Bernie Mac and Cedric the Entertainer.
