Streaming platforms are in a constant battle with each other. The fight to lure audience to their services has intensified ever since the launch of Disney +. Intially, in bid to attract people, Disney had offered a free seven day trial. After over 6 months since its launch, the company have now decided to change their policy. They are no more going to offer free seven day trials.

Deeming it to be no longer necessary, the ‘Variety’ reports that the company has signed around 54.5 million subscribers in the world. In a short span of time they have grown tremendously.

A company spokesperson in an interview with ‘Variety’, said :

“We continue to test and evaluate different marketing, offers and promotions to grow Disney Plus. The service was set at an attractive price-to-value proposition that we believe delivers a compelling entertainment offering on its own.”

Films such as Frozen 2 and Hamilton are going to premiere on it soon. While, Hamilton which is based on Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical is set to stream from July 3.

The film is about the life of Treasury Secretary, Alexander Hamilton. A biographic drama, it has fetched several awards. In its list of accolades, are 11 Tony Awards and the 2016 Pulitzer Prize For Drama.

Made in the Richard Rodgers Theatres on Broadway, June 2016, the film contains a ensemble cast. Each member of the film is a Tony Award winner and is a part of the original musical. The cast includes –

Miranda as Alexander Hamilton; Daveed Diggs as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson; Renée Elise Goldsberry as Angelica Schuyler; and Leslie Odom Jr. as Aaron Burr.

All the shows and films from Marvel, Pixar, Disney and Star Wars stream on Disney+, it’s show ‘The Mandalorian’ has already become a rage with fans.
