Upcoming Biopic based on the life of one of the most popular Prime Ministers of India Narendra Modi has been the talk of the town since it was announced last year. The film titled ‘PM Narendra Modi‘ stars Vivek Anand Oberoi in the titular role and several Bollywood celebs have joined the cast with time.

Now there are reports that Boman Irani, who added to the list of the cast member weeks ago, will play the role of business tycoon Ratan Tata in the film.

The actor himself confirmed the news saying, “Whenever I shared my pictures on social media, a lot of people said that I resemble Ratan Tata. As luck would have it, I got a call from Omung for the part and I accepted it immediately. Mr. Tata has put up the Nano plant in Gujarat, which played an important role in the state’s development and that aspect is a part of our story.”

The actor further added that he has met the businessman on several occasions. He said, “He is extremely soft-spoken and one of the finest gentlemen I have ever come across. He is full of grace and kindness. As a part of my prep, I have been going through his videos and audio clips online which are mostly speeches from conferences. For the part, my focus is to get the essence and the personality accurate.”

The 59-year-old actor has already started the shooting of his portion in the film with Vivek in Ahmedabad.

The film is being directed by Omung Kumar who had earlier directed biopic ‘Mary Kom’ and bankrolled by Suresh Oberoi and Sandip Ssingh.
