Despacito

Google-owned service said Tuesday that the mega-hit Despacito by the Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi has become the most watched video ever on YouTube with more than six billion views.

The video which released in January 2017 by Fonsi and Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee, already holds the record for the fastest two billion, three billion and four billion views in just 272 days.

The Spanish song was temporarily deleted by a bunch of YouTube hackers after its viewership reached five billion last year. The suspected hackers called themselves Prosox and Kuroi’sh, also wrote “Free Palestine” underneath popular videos that were still working on the website. They only attacked Vevo’s channel.

The video-sharing platform, owned by internet conglomerate Google, later recovered the deleted videos, including Despacito, much to the relief of all fans across the globe.

The South Korean singer Psy’s ‘Gangnam Style’ was the first one to cross the two-billion-views barrier on youtube platform. It is now fifth in the YouTube charts with 3.3 billion views.

‘Uptown Funk’ sung by Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars is the fourth most watched youtube song with 3.33 billion views.

The heartwarming soundtrack of ‘Furious 7’ ‘See You Again’ is the third most watched song on Youtube. 3.86 billion people have watched the video song, which has been sung by Wiz Khalifa ft. Charlie Puth. The song was a heartfelt tribute to Paul Walker.

Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape Of You’ stand second in the list of most watched youtube songs list with 3.89 billion views.
