After announcing Jaaved Jaffrey’s son Meezaan Jaffrey as the leading man on Tuesday, filmmaker Priyadarshan has finally announced the name of leading lady of his upcoming film Hungama 2. And it is none other than the South Indian actor Pranitha Subhash who has given several commercially successful films in Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu languages.
Subhash, who has already signed her Hindi debut film Bhuj: The Pride Of India with actors Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, and Rana Daggubati, has bagged the part in Hungama 2 after an audition, as reported by Bollywood Hungama. The Rangrrez director told the entertainment portal that he knew she was the right choice for the role at first sight.
While appreciating the professionalism of the lead actors, Priyadarshan told the entertainment website, “I am very happy with my casting. The pair is fresh and excited about working in the film. They don’t have the jaded seen-it-all attitude of some established stars. Not yet.”
Hungama 2 is the second installment of Priyadarshan’s 2003 comedy film by the same name. The film will witness the return of ace comedians Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Shakti Kapoor. Discontinuing the preceding film’s plot Hungama 2 will be a fresh story.
