Director Indra Kumar has decided to make the sequel of his 1990 released film ‘Dil’ starring Aamir Khan and Madhuri Dixit. He confirmed the news to DNA and revealed that the sequel will be titled ‘Dil Again’. He also said that the lead actors are yet to be decided for the film.
The director told DNA, “I had been planning to make the sequel of Aamir Khan and Madhuri Dixit’s ‘Dil’ for some time now. We have cracked a script and called it ‘Dil Again’.” “I am making this one with two young actors. We haven’t started casting yet,” he said.
‘Dil’ was remade in Telugu in 1993 starring Divya Bharti and Prashanth in the lead roles. The film was also remade in Odia (Agni Parikshya), Bangladesh (Amar Ghor Amar Beheshto) and Kannada (Shivaranjini).
The original movie garnered huge positive response and was a big box office success. Madhuri won a Filmfare Award for her performance in the film. It received six Filmfare nominations, including best film and best actor category.
Meanwhile, Indra Kumar is all set for his upcoming release ‘Total Dhamaal‘, the third installment of the ‘Dhamaal’ film series starring big star cast of Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffrey, Madhuri Dixit, Esha Gupta, and Anil Kapoor.
‘Total Dhamaal’ is produced by Fox Star Studios, Ajay Devgn FFilms, Ashok Thakeria, Indra Kumar, Sri Adhikari Brothers, and Anand Pandit.
The film is scheduled to be released on 22 February 2019.
