Bollywood actress Kalki Koechlin says that she does not even know whether she fits in it or not. Kalki says that she is just least bothered about that she fits in the Bollywood or not. She is highly passionate about the creative process of a film.
She thinks she has found her place in the Indian cinema, but if you have asked her about such a thing then she does not know whether she fits in it or not. She believes that she misfit in the cinema because she is not concerned. She is just not concerned that how many parties she has attended on the number of invitations that came to her. She works and that is something she is passionate about. She gets some much indulge in the character and that will drive her to do a lot of homework and the story will intrigue her to the core.
Kalki has done unusual movies in the Bollywood cinema such as ‘Dev D’, ‘That Girl in Yellow Boots’, ‘Margarita with a Straw’ and ‘A Death in the Gunj’. However, Kalki praises other actresses openly when her ‘Waiting’ had a clash with Radhika Apte’s ‘Phobia’, she was so much generous in lauding the latter’s work.
Kalki says that she finds talent sexy when you actually going to see the movie you will realize that the whole movie is based on her performance nothing else. She believes that Radhika is a brilliant actress. She even says that there are so many movies which are releasing every day, but not all of them create an impact in your mind so whenever she sees a good cinema she gets excited. She literally wants to thank people who are creating the good cinema in the Bollywood industry.
Now, the time has changed the makers of the movie are changing their way of telling the story has changed and they are not afraid to do the experiment with the subjects. She says that the practice of offering more choices to the audience is great. As an audience, we would love to watch the romantic and comedy movies. However, at times she loves to watch the movie which is based on the documentary. The good thing is that the makers of the movie have understood the choices is a luxury and as an actor, they want more choices and they want more variety of movies. This is the exciting phase in our cinema.
On the work front, Kalki is gearing up for her movie title ‘Jia Aur Jia‘, which is directed by Howard Rosemeyer. The movie features Richa Chadha and Kalki Koechlin in the lead. The movie will revolve around the two women and they are completely different from each other. It is a women-centric drama in which both the actress (Kalki Koechlin and Richa Chadha) will be seen playing the bold roles. However, the movie also features a guy Frank M Ahearn, which will be seen romancing with Kalki’s character.
The movie ‘Jia Aur Jia‘ is slated to release on October 27, 2017.
