According to the reports from Mumbai Mirror, Kartik Aaryan and Disha Patani have been roped in by Anees Bazmee for his next rom-com. The yet to be titled film will be produced by Bhushan Kumar and will kick off towards the middle of the year. It will be filmed in Mumbai and abroad. Bhushan confirms the news, saying, “This one is a classic Aneez Bazmee’s style rib-tickler which will have everyone in splits”.
While talking about the lead actors, Bhushan said he likes the way Kartik slips into the role effortlessly, “Disha’s work I have seen in Bharat which we are producing, she is a good performer. It’s always interesting to present a fresh pairing on screen”.
Currently, Anees is busy filming his upcoming comedy ‘Pagalpanti’, featuring John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Ileana D’cruz, Kriti Kharbanda, Arshad Warsi and Pulkit Samrat in London with night schedule in a jungle close to Carlton gardens in Westminster.
This movie will mark producer Bhushan’s third collaboration with Kartik, after ‘Sonu ke Titu Ki Sweety’ and ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’, “I’m sure it will be a crazy, fun ride, Anees Bazmee style,” Bhushan added.
The actress reportedly said that she has grown up on Anees Bazmee films and always wanted to do an out and out comedy. “In this one, I play a girl-next-door who I can easily relate to. The characters are college students and there can be no better co-star than Kartik who is a pro at comedies,” Disha concludes with a smile.
