Things aren’t going very easy- breezy for Sara Ali Khan’s debut as the director of the movie, Abhishek Kapoor, has landed into trouble with the producer and has also had some issues with the lead actor, Suhant Singh Rajput.
A report in News 18 says that Abhishek ‘cheated the producers’ as he wasn’t yet ready for the shoot when the team had already moved to Kedarnath. The movie that is already delayed by 16 months due to delay in production process has now been troubling the producers. According to the news report, the producers KriArj Entertainment have sued the director for bad behavioral conduct and delay in production.
According to a source, “Kedarnath is currently in court. The producers believed in his vision but they didn’t know he would do something like this to them. He (Abhishek) went to Kedarnath to start the film but suddenly told the team that he was not ready and the makers lost the dates of the cast”.
Issues have also emerged between Sushant Singh Rajput and Abhishek Kapoor due to ill handling of the actor’s dates. If rumors are to be believed, Sushant is also upset with the way his character is dealt with in the movie.
Apart from the delay in production, the producers also have an issue with Abhishek announcing a release date without consulting them. If reports are to be believed, Abhishek announced a date that clashes with Shahrukh khan’s Zero.
Prerna Arora who is the head of KriArj Entertainment said, “We are thinking (to move the release date). We might not compete with Shah Rukh sir. We are still talking to Abhishek (Kapoor, Kedarnath director). We have to figure out which date is suitable for us. Once we get that, we will be able to reply.”
Sara Ali Khan who is debuting with this movie might also feature in Rohit Shetty’s Simmba.
