American actor-director Kevin Costner will be writing and producing a procedural drama series for ABC. The Molly’s Game actor has pitched the idea to ABC which has been picked up the network with a pilot episode commitment, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Titled ISB, it tells the story of some special agents of the Investigative Services Branch, tasked to solve crimes at the ISB’s Pacific West region. 

“This project came from a long-running friendship with Tana Jamieson of A+E Studios,” Costner said on Thursday. “I am excited to be working with ABC because of their history of breaking new ground and for their strong support of our creative vision.” Costner will be writing the script and executive producing it with Aaron Helbing, who is a former showrunner of The Flash. Helbing will also serve as the showrunner. 

The series will be a co-production between A+E Studios and Disney‘s 20th TV, while Costner will exec produce it under his banner Territory Pictures with partners Rod Lake, Ivan Cohen, Ken Halsband and Jon Baird.

Costner is currently starring in Paramount Network’s Yellowstone.
