Jab Harry Met Sejal Movie Review, Story, Synopsis, Trailer, Songs, Cast & Crew!

Finally! The most awaited movie of the year titled “Jab Harry met Sejal” featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma has been released today. The Bollywood’s most romantic comedy movie, which is written and directed by Imtiaz Ali. This is the fourth time when both the actors are collaborating together. The movie’s pre-production begun in April 2015 and the principal photography commenced on August 2016.

The story of the movie revolves around Harry and Sejal’s journey across Europe, Prague, Amsterdam, Vienna, Lisbon, and Budapest. In a search for Sejal’s engagement ring makes Harry understand love and relationships better, while Sejal experiences newfound freedom, security and solace in Harry’s company.

Like in Imtiaz’s earlier movies like Jab We Met, Cocktail or the recent Tamasha. It is the routine that the girl is engaged elsewhere and then girl discovers halfway through the film that she is actually attracted to someone else. Same happens in this movie also Sejal (Anushka Sharma) is engaged to Rupen but later she ends up falling for Harry (Shah Rukh Khan). The interesting part of the movie is the presence of Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. In the movie Shah will be seen in a Punjabi avatar, on the other hand, Sejal will be seen in a Gujarati look. The chemistry between both actors (Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma) is cracking for sure. In fact calling Shah Rukh Khan an old wine would not be bad because just like an old wine the more he matures, the better he loves.

In the movie, Shah Rukh plays a tourist guide Harinder Singh Nehra and Anushka is playing a Gujarati girl who is filthy rich. The journey starts when Anushka lost her engagement ring and then start off on a note where Harry can never be on the same page. Harry doesn’t want to be with her and she won’t leave him. The dialogues in the movie are well written. The first half is super exciting where the pace is quick yet keeps the audience hooked.

You will get to see some gorgeous European locations through his lens. Now, imagine SRK romancing a lady in Prague (breaks into a song that very moment). Coming back to the film, the travelogue moves smoothly with some great fillers and peppy tracks. At the end, biggest twist towards the climax will make all of you wonder how destiny binds two young individuals together and it does have very PauloCoelho types feeling.

Jab Harry Met Sejal is absolutely banal with some hummable tunes. It’s a big disappointment to see Shah Rukh Khan returns to his comfort zone and yet not performing at the top of his powers.
