On the work front, Mrunal is currently busy filming for the sports drama ‘Toofan’ directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and co-starring Farhan Akhtar.

She will be also seen portraying queen Sivagami in the Netflix series ‘Baahubali: Before the Beginning’, which is a prequel to the ‘Baahubali’ films.

Mrunal has finished shooting for the Netflix horror anthology film ‘Ghost Stories’, where she will appear in the segment directed by Karan Johar.

Her last role was in the action thriller ‘Batla House’ directed by Nikhil Advani, which was based on the Batla house encounter. The film met with mixed reviews but was a box-office hit.

Prior to entering films, Mrunal had starred in several television serials like ‘Mujhse Kuchh Kehti…Yeh Khamoshiyaan’, ‘Har Yug Mein Ayega Ek Arjun’ and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’.

She made her film debut in 2014 with the Marathi film ‘Vitti Dandu’ and made her foray into Bollywood with last year’s ‘Love Sonia.’ Her role of a girl forced into prostitution was well received.
