Indian Idol 11 judge Neha Kakkar was recently during an episode was forcibly hugged and then kissed by a contestant on stage. In the recently released promo of the song, it can be seen that a contestant with Gujarati traditional attire on, asks Neha to come on stage as he had a present for her. After giving her the present when Neha was thanking him for this sweet gesture, he forcibly tried to hug her and then planted a kiss on her cheek.
Host Aditya Narayan and other judges Anu Malik and Vishal Dadlani were left in shock and Neha returned to her seat feeling embarrassed. Vishal and Aditya later talked about this incident but we haven’t seen Neha’s reaction to it yet.
Vishal later said, ““I suggested that the Police be called, but Neha decided to let the guy off the hook. He definitely needs psychiatric help, and we will try to help him get that, if we can. #IndianIdol11”.
Host Aditya Narayan told times of india, “It was shocking. You don’t expect such an incident to happen. Our first reaction was to get him away from Neha Kakkar. I don’t know if the makers have taken any action against him. As a host at that moment, I tried to safeguard Neha. What happens next is not in my hands.”
Audience later took to twitter to express their outrage over this issue and demanded action against the contestant.

People need to stop circulating video of @iAmNehaKakkar being forcibly kissed. It is a shameful act & deserves condemnation from everyone. Making this video viral would add to discomfort #NehaKakkar is experiencing. And shame on the part of @SonyTV for allowing this.

As I get it the contestant tried to kiss her when Neha Kakkar hugged him. Well, he shouldn't have done it. But then, why should a woman go on to hug a man? Is this not an intimate gesture? What purpose does this achieve? Here, a peck in the cheek is as innocent as a hug.
