Indian director Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s upcoming Indian period drama movie titled ‘Padmavati‘ might release on January 26, 2018. However, the movie earlier supposed to release on December 1st but then the due to the controversy which is going around the movie had made the makers of the movie push the release date.
The Karni Sena and the political parties are demanding that the movie should be ban as they all think that the movie has a dream sequence of the Rani Padmini and Muslim Sultan Alauddin Khilji. However, the makers of the movie have completely denied all such reports and they have cleared that the movie ‘Padmavati’ does not have such dream sequence.
However, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has clarified that they have made the movie with the full responsibility and they have kept the honor to the Rajputs well and after that matter still got politicized and the matter even went worse for the movie. According to the recent reports, the movie ‘Padmavati’ will might release on 26th January 2018. However, there has been no confirmation from the maker’s side yet this is just a rumor.
Recently, all the members of the film fraternity and the people from the entertainment industry gathered in Mumbai just to express their support for the director and they have even questioned the status of freedom of speech and the expression’s in India’s democracy when the caste group like Karni Sena are constantly threatening the filmmaker and the travel nationwide to stop the release of the movie ‘Padmavati’.
The very important thing for the movie is to get the certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and the makers will announce the release date of the movie only after the film certify with the certificate. The date January 26 is very good for the release of the movie, but that date has been already booked by the Akshay Kumar’s ‘Padman’ which is scheduled to release on 26th January.
The co-producer of the movie Viacom18 pictures has earlier announced that the due to the controversy they have to change the release date of the movie ‘Padmavati’ and now the movie will release in January 2018. They clearly said that there are no other dates available to release the movie they might release it in the first week of the month of January.
The movie ‘Padmavati’ is an upcoming Indian period drama. The movie which is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and jointly produced by Bhansali and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The movie features Deepika Padukone in the title role as Rani Padmini, alongside Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji, Shahid Kapoor as MaharajaRawal Ratan Singh, apart from them, we will also see actors like Jim Sarbh and Aditi Rao Hydari also in the movie.
