One of the most talented actors of the B-town Pankaj Tripathi might play Ranveer Singh‘s coach in Kabir Khan’s ‘83‘. Singh will play the role of Kapil Dev in the movie based on the cricketer and the 1983 world cup which was the first magnificent victory for India.
The search for the coach was going on for a really long time, reportedly the search has ended and Tripathi has been zeroed in to play the role. If reports are to be believed the role was first offered to Nawazuddin Siddiqui but he declined the offer saying that he had other commitments and the film was continuously delaying.
At a media interaction for his last released ‘Simmba‘, Ranveer hinted at working with Pankaj. He revealed that the two had met earlier and that he desires to work with him and he suggested that the two might team up soon.
Tripathi and Singh have been seen praising each other’s work for a long time now.
Ranveer Singh has been roped in to play Kapil Dev in the biopic based on India’s first world cup victory at Lord’s Stadium, England in 1983.
Reported Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Jiva, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Sahil Khattar will play other cricketers who were a part of the national team at the time of win.
The news was making rounds that Kapil Dev is himself preparing Ranveer Singh for his role of a cricketer. The film will go on floors by mid-2019.
