An Indian director Pradeep Sarkar is gearing up to direct an actress Kajol in a movie that revolves around a mother and a son relationship. Kajol’s next movie has been written by the director Anand Gandhi and the movie is an adaptation of the Gujarati famous play with a title ‘Beta Kaagdo’.
However, the movie will revolve around a mother and a son relationship and in that movie, the actress is playing a single parent. Director Pradeep Sarkar last directed the thriller movie titled ‘Mardaani’ in 2014 featuring Rani Mukherji in the lead. His upcoming movie which is likely to roll in January. About the movie, Pradeep says that he was offered a script around four months ago and it took him a while to understand the Gujarati tome of the play but later he fell in love with the script. He says that script is really emotional but it has some really strong characters and with this movie, there are a lot of chances that people are getting really close to them. Pradeep even interacted with a lot of Gujarati people just to know more about them and their culture.
However, Pradeep has already started the preparation along with the actress Kajol and he has even started the reading sessions and they will probably begin the shooting soon. For the actress Kajol, Pradeep says that she is an awesome actress and he believes that whenever she picks up the role she always owns it. He feels that an actress has her own style of working, she has a charm and her particular way of talking that enhances the characters even more.
Pradeep is still scouting for the boy who will play her son in the untitled movie. Moreover, Kajol’s husband Ajay Devgn is producing the movie along with the Abhinav Shukla, Swanand Kirkire and they have earlier worked in the movies like ‘Sarkar’, ‘Parineeta’, ‘Laaga Chunari Mein Daag’ and ‘Lafangey Parindey’. According to the reports, Amit Trivedi will be scoring the music and the movie will be shot in the outskirts of Mumbai.
Moreover, Pradeep Sarkar points out that he is getting himself involved in the dialogue and the character building as well because there are a few insights that he wanted to incorporate to make the movie more endearing. He even said that it is not like the movie ‘Parineeta’ where everything was very much in detailed in this movie there are more of a free-flowing characters and it is a music-driven film. Pradeep kept himself away from the directing more of the movies after the movie ‘Mardaani’. He says that making commercials is his main business and he says that if somebody will give him the enough money then he will only invest that money in making the movies but he has to survive as well.
