Former Miss World Priyanka Chopra who had previously been busy shooting overseas for Quantico has finally wrapped up her shoot, and is now back in India with another project in hand. Her next film, ‘Bharat’ is confirmed to have Salman Khan as co-actor, and the shooting is set to begin any time soon.
Following her return to India, Priyanka Chopra had flown to Assam where she intended to film some short films/advertisements regarding her campaign #AwesomeAssam. #AwesomeAssam is an initiative taken solely by the actress Priyanka Chopra herself. It is her intention to promote the state of Assam by using her fan base to boost its tourism.
To propagate her campaign, she had arrived in Assam on the 28th of April. She had since then posted consecutive updates on Instagram with pictures and videos publicizing her activities in Assam. In one particular caption, Priyanka Chopra explains how she had enjoyed the show put on by the local Assamese ladies. In the corresponding video, Priyanka is seen to be dancing with the girls attempting to do some of the traditional Bihu movements.
She has also updated her followers regarding an elephant she had met in the forests of Assam. She posted pictures of her cuddling ‘Geeta’s trunk, which was very well received and appreciated by the fans.
As Priyanka continues to update the public on her #AwesomeAssam campaign, she readies herself to get immersed in another hectic shooting schedule for Bharat.
