Director Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra was recently present in the Powerbrand – Film journalist and Filmmaker Award, which was organised by the Planman Media. In the award show, he has said that some of the awards have been muscled down to a TV show.
On Monday, when asked from the director that if he thinks that the award is fake and they could have bought or they were genuinely appreciating their work done. On all such things director, Rakeysh said that there is need to get so serious. If someone is appreciating for your work is always good no matter who has done it. There are a lots shows that are been sponsored by the big companies and TV channels so somewhere down the line they all have muscled down to a TV show rather than purely an award function. He is happy with the love he gets from the audience and the media and that is the biggest award for him.
About the Power award show, Director said, “This is their first year. I don’t really understand power but I believe that power is what comes from the mind and thought. But it feels great to be appreciated especially because the awardees were chosen by film journalists.”
Moreover, he is producing his upcoming movie title ‘Fanney Khan‘ and in the movie Divya Dutta is also playing a part and he says that it always great working with the actor Divya Dutta.
His upcoming movie ‘Fanney Khan’ is said to be a musical comedy movie, which is an official remake of Dominique Deruddere’s Everybody’s Famous and the movie will be based on the father and daughter story. The movie features Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles. The movie is directed by Atul Manjrekar and produced by Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra, KriArj Entertainment, and T-Series.
Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has earlier worked together in Subhash Ghai’s movie ‘Taal’ and Satish Kaushik’s movie ‘Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai’. The music in the film has been given by Amit Trivedi and lyrics has been given by Irshad Kamil.
The movie ‘Fanney Khan’ is slated to release on 13, April 2018.
