It’s a great time for Ranveer Singh. His movies are doing exceptionally well and he has been getting some of the best projects to work on, thanks to his fantastic performances. After Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy, Ranveer will be seen in Kabir Khan’s 83.

The movie being made under Reliance Entertainment and helmed by Kabir Khan is a very promising one. On talking about 83 Ranveer recently said, “It’s an honour to be a part of one of the most incredible sporting stories of our nations history, the 1983 cricket world cup. We have the honour of telling this story and mortalising this on celluloid.”

In the movie Ranveer will be embodying the role of former cricketer and Indian team’s star player, Kapil Dev. The movie based on India’s victory in 1983 world cup will not only depict India’s victory but also how post this event India became a known figure in International Cricket scene and carved a place of recognition for itself leading to the kind of popularity that it gets to experience now. Ranveer added, “It is one of the most incredible underdog story.”

The actor is very enthusiastic about the film and is looking forward to working with Kabir Khan. “I am damn excited to work with Kabir Khan. Bajrangi Bhaijaan is one of my most favourite films of all time. I am excited to collaborate with him,” he said.

Ranveer, who has quite a good number of projects to work on including Gully Boy and Simmba is happy with the kind of work that he is getting. He said, “My current slate is another opportunity to showcase my versatility and in collaboration with finest filmmakers in the country. So right now I am going through a very rich creative phase and I am feeling blessed”.

Right now Ranveer is busy shooting Gully Boy that will hit the theatres soon.
