Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been in the news recently for his film ‘Inshallah’ with Salman Khan.
But the recent news is that the maverick film-maker is working on the script of ‘Gangubai’ which will feature Alia Bhatt.
This is because Sanjay does not want her dates to be allocated to some other film as he wants to work with her.
According to the sources, he could not focus on ‘Gangubai’ since he was involved in the pre-production of ‘Inshallah’.
Now since ‘Inshallah’ has been shelved, the director is gearing up for his another film with the talented Alia Bhatt.
Sanjay’s last directorial venture, ‘Padmaavat’, was marred into controversies after various political groups tried to ban it from release.
The film, starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor, was released on 25 January, 2018 to positive reviews and strong box-office results.
It earned him the National Film Award for Best Music Direction for composing the songs of the film.
Alia, on the other hand, is currently filming for Ayan Mukherji’s superhero film ‘Brahmastra’, with Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan.
She is also busy shooting for ‘Sadak 2’, directed by her father Mahesh Bhatt and a sequel to his 1991 film.
Alia has also confirmed to star in S.S. Rajamouli’s period film ‘RRR’ with N.T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan and Ajay Devgn.
