The Indian television actress Shafaq Naaz shot her last episodes of the most popular show titled “Chidiya Ghar” in the end of June, where she was playing the role of Mayuri. Now, Mona Lisa will soon be replacing Shafaaq Naaz in the show, which is produced by Aswini Dheer under the banner of Garima Productions.
About leaving the show Shafaq said, “It’s been two months that I have quit Chidiya Ghar. Though I was very happy to be part of the show somewhere I felt it was getting monotonous. My character had nothing much to do. As an actor, I want to explore and try new genres. It was lovely working with Ashwini sir and the team of Chidiya Ghar. These days I am spending time on myself as it’s been more than four years that I have been working continuously. Post Chidiya Ghar I am looking out for lead role oriented shows.”
This is the third time when the makers of “Chidiya Ghar” have roped in a new actress to portray the part of Mayuri. Earlier the role was played by Debina Bonnerjee. On this Shafaq said, “I have been a part of ‘Chidiya Ghar’ for the past two-and-a-half years. I wasn’t able to give time to myself and hence, decided to take a break for a couple of months.”
When asked if Monalisa is perfect to play the character of Mayuri, she replies, “Well, Monalisa is a great dancer and the character of Mayuri requires that kind of skill.”
