Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani are all set to head to Lonavla in order to shoot a special song for their upcoming film Shershaah, according to a report in Mumbai Mirror

The report cited a source close to the development revealing that the movie was wrapped up last year in Mumbai, but the team is to shoot for portions of a love song. “It is a one-day schedule in Lonavla, which will be showcased as Palampur, Captain Vikram Batra’s hometown in the film.” the source told the news daily.

Shershaah is based on the life of Kargil Martyr Captain Vikram Batra who died while recapturing Indian territories from Pakistani intruders during the Kargil War in 1999. Because of his bravery, Batra was referred to as ‘Sher Shah’ (Lion King). The Kargil hero was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest wartime gallantry award.

Talking about his choice of the film, Sidharth told IANS last year, “More than interesting, it is more of a responsibility to bring back his glory on screen. He sacrificed his life for our nation, so I can never take this project for granted. I met his parents and his brother — they are so attached to him emotionally. I hope I don’t let them down. Apart from the business aspect, I hope we make a film that does justice to Mr. Batra’s glory and eventually makes his family happy.”

Directed by Vishnuvardhan and written by Sandeep Srivastava, the biographical action drama film is produced by Karan Johar under his banner of Dharma Productions.
