Actor, Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case recently reached the supreme court. A petition was filed, seeking to transfer the case from Mumbai Police to CBI. Though, the court had dismissed it. What can be the reason for it doing so ?

They did this because the bench comprising of chief justice, SA Bobde and justices AS Bopanna and V Ramasubramanian claimed that the Mumbai police should be allowed to work. They, further said a plea, if necessary first needs to be filed at the Bombay High Court.

The Bench was quoted saying, “Go to Bombay High Court if you have anything concrete to show.”

Pawan Prakash Pathak and Gauraw Kumar had filed the petition which had read,

“We would like to bring to your kind attention that the sudden and mysterious demise of Late Mr Sushant Singh Rajput on 14 June 2020 has created a wave of shock and grief across the nation and which is being investigated by Bihar and Maharashtra Police and it has prima facie raised a number of serious questions on the investigation being conducted by both the State Police and also it has raised a number of unanswered question in the mind of the public at large as it was a suicide or a murder.”

In the petition, they also allege that the Mumbai police and Bihar Police, are not working together. Both of them are investigating the case.

Maharashtra’s Home Minister, Anil Deshmukh had earlier refuted reports that the case will be transferred to CBI. On Tuesday, Bihar police police had reached Mumbai to record Sushant’s sister’s statement.

While, to make the matters more murky Sushant Singh Rajput’s father had filed a case on Tuesday against actor, Rhea Chakraborty. She claims to be Sushant’s girlfriend.

Sushant died by suicide at his home on June 14. He was known for films such as Kedarnath, Sonchiriya, Ms Dhoni the untold story and Kai Po Che.
