Taapsee Pannu has begun with the shooting of her next film titled Rashmi Rocket. Directed by Akarsh Khurana, the film will be a sports drama and will also star Priyanshu Painyuli. Taapsee will be seen essaying the role of an athlete in the film while Priyanshu will play the role of her husband. Written by Nanda Periyasamy, Aniruddha Guha, and Kanika Dhillon, the film is slated to release next year.
The film Rashmi Rocket goes on the floor. Sharing the same, Taran Adarsh wrote, “SHOOT BEGINS… #RashmiRocket – the sports drama starring #TaapseePannu – commenced shoot today [3 Nov 2020]… Costars #PriyanshuPainyuli, who acted in #Extraction… Directed by Akarsh Khurana… Produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Neha Anand and Pranjal Khandhdiya.”
Taapsee Pannu will be seen donning the role of a Gujarati girl named Rashmi in the film, who is a fast runner because of which her fellow villagers have nicknamed her ‘Rocket’. Taapsee had shared her look from the film in August and had revealed that she will start shooting for the same in November. She wrote, “Getting back on track, one lap at a time! #RashmiRocket to start shooting this November. #FridaysWithRSVP”
While Rashi Rocket is currently on Taapsee’s work front, the actress recently wrapped up shooting for Haseen Dilruba.which also stars Vikrant Massey. The film is directed by Vinil Matthew.
