There has been a lot of buzz around the upcoming film Dostana 2 since the time of its announcement. While it was reported that Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor would play the lead roles in the film, the name of second lead was not confirmed.
Now it has been reported that the grandson of legendary Dara Singh, Fateh Randhawa would be seen playing the second lead in the sequel of Dostana. Fateh is the son of Vindu Dara Singh and his former wife and yesteryear actress Farah Naaz.
Fateh has one more relation in Bollywood. He is the nephew of immensely talented Tabu. Tabu is Farah’s younger sister. While Fateh’s aunt is considered as one of the finest actresses of all time, it would be interesting to see what does he bring on screen.
A report on Bollywood Hungama quoted Vindu saying, “Fateh has worked so hard for the past 4 years in every department of acting, so hard work always pays back.”
The report further mentions sources from Karan Johar’s Dharma Production saying that Karan Johar has met and interacted the star kid and he thinks Fateh has the potential to make as big an impact as Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra.
Dostana that starred John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan was one of the first few films that brought the subject of homosexuality on the big screen. The film also starred Priyanka Chopra Jonas as the female lead and was commercially successful.
