Urvashi Dholakia is an Indian television actress. She is best known for her role as Komolika Basu in Kasautii Zindagii Kay and also known as a winner of Television Reality Show in “Bigg Boss 6”. Despite of her on screen roles Urvashi as herself also managed to win our hearts during the Bigg Boss house which ultimately made her the winner of the show in its sixth season.
Now, Urvasi will be seen in Ekta Kapoor‘s upcoming show ‘Chandrakanta’. Where she will be seen embodying the character of a fearless and ambitious queen named Iravati. The role of the queen requires her to ride a horse among others and, Urvashi signed up for an training in horse riding to get into the skin of the character.
‘Chandrakanta’ features Madhurima Tuli in the lead role. The show will also be a comeback for actress Shilpa Agnihotri who has in the past worked in daily soaps like ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, ‘Kkusum’. Shilpa was also a part of Bigg Boss Season 7 with her husband Apoorva Agnihotri.
Urvashi started her acting career at the age of six with TV commercial of ‘Lux soap’. Then came her first TV series on Doordarshan ‘Dekh Bhai Dekh’ as Shilpa. Later she appeared in ‘Waqt Ki Raftar’. She also appeared in shows ‘Ghar Ek Mandir’, ‘Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Sahelii’, ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ and ‘Kahiin To Hoga’. Urvashi gained popularity by playing the role of Komolika Basu in Kasautii Zindagii Kay.
