Hong Kong-based company Infinix has launched their latest smartphone- the Infinix Smart 2 in India on Thursday. The Infinix brand of smartphones is owned by the Transsion Holdings, a Chinese manufacturer of cellphones. The manufacturer is the largest smartphone seller in Africa as well as sells smartphones in India, Pakistan and South East Asian countries. The Infinix Smart 2 is a 5.4-inch HD+ ‘full view’ display and a quad-core processor. The Smart 2 is launched at a starting price of Rs 5,999.

The mobile phone manufacturers have claimed that the smartphone will deliver up to 21 hours of 4G talk time, 81 hours of music playback time, or 21 days of standby time on a single charge. It also has an Oreo 8.1 with pre-loaded face unlock. It also supports high-speed data through a 4G VoLTE Support.

The Infinix Smart 2 runs on Android Oreo 8.1 with XOS 3.3.0 on top. It has a dual sim option, a 5.45-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) FullView LCD panel with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 500 nits of brightness. The processor is the quad-core MediaTek MT6739 SoC 1.5GHz. In the camera section, the handset has a 13-megapixel sensor at the back along with a five-piece lens sporting a f/2.0 aperture and phase detection autofocus (PDAF) along with an LED flash. For selfies, there is an 8-megapixel sensor at the front along with a f/2.0 aperture lens and dual LED flash.

The Infinix Smart 2 is packed with a 3050 mAh battery. It also comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack on the connectivity front. It also has a decent amount of sensors in the accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.
Infinix Smart 2 Pricing & Availability
The Infinix Smart 2 is a Flipkart exclusive and will go on sale on August 10. There are two variants available – the 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage, for which the price is set at Rs 5,999 and the 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage, for which the price is set at Rs 6,999. Both variants have an option to expand storage up to 128 GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. The Smart 2 is available in Bordeaux Red, City Blue, Sandstone Black, and Serene Gold colours.
