Samsung had unveiled both devices at the Galaxy Unpacked event on August 5, Now they are out for sale.

All the smartwatch fans have a new device to look after as the much-awaited Galaxy watch 3 has been launched. The previous galaxy watches have been really good.

The Galaxy buds Live has a new and fresh design compared to its predecessor.

Pricing and Availability

Talking about pricing and availability, the galaxy watch 3 will be available in two variants. Both of them have their two variants.

The first variant is a 41mm variant with WiFi support and the second one of 41mm section has 4G LTE support. They are priced at  Rs. 29,990 and Rs. 32,990 respectively. The other one is a 44mm variant and it also has the same two sub-variants as the 41mm one. They are priced at Rs 32,990 and Rs 38,990 respectively.

The Galaxy Watch 3 will be available in Mystic Bronze and Mystic Silver colors.

Moving onto Galaxy buds Live, there is obviously only one variant. It is priced at Rs 14,990. The earbuds come in three colour options, Mystic Black, Mystic Bronze, and Mystic White.

The earbuds will go on sale from 25th August whereas the watch will go on sale from 27th August.

In order to boost its sales right from the start, Samsung has come up with really good pre-booking offers.

The first one is if you book any variant of the watch, 41mm or 44mm, you get a Rs 10,000 discount on the Galaxy Buds Live. It means you get the buds at just Rs 4,990. This offer is valid from 17th August to 26th August. You can avail of these offers by booking on Samsung Shop or any offline retail stores.

The second offer is specific for the WiFi model in both 41mm and 44mm variants. If you choose to buy any one of these two, you can get an instant cashback of Rs. 4,500 on the 41mm model and Rs. 5,000 on the 45mm model. This offer is valid between August 20 and August 26 through Samsung Shop, Amazon, and Flipkart.

Specifications

Talking about the specs of Galaxy Watch 3, it runs on Tizen-based Wearable OS 5.5. It features a 1.2-inch (360×360 pixels) circular Super AMOLED display on the 41mm variant and a 1.4-inch display on the 45mm variant.

Talking about the display and all, the watch is certified IP68 water and dust resistant. You have WiFi support on the WiFi model and eSim support enabling 4G connectivity on the 4G variant. You get Bluetooth on both the WiFi and 4G variant.

This device comes with a 247mAh battery on the 41mm variant and a bit larger battery of 340mAh on the 45mm.

Talking about storage, speed, and power, The smartwatch is powered by the dual-core Exynos 9110 CPU and Mali-T720 GPU. The smartwatch packs 1GB of RAM with 8GB of storage.

Outside India, in selected markets, The Galaxy Watch 3 comes with oxygen saturation (SpO2) sensor support. The makers have said that this feature could soon feature in the Indian devices too.

For the people who don’t know, SpO2 means measuring the saturation of oxygen in your blood.

Now moving on to the galaxy buds, The Samsung Galaxy Buds Live features 12mm drivers with AKG tuning.

The Galaxy buds come with three microphones for better call quality. It has Bluetooth 5.0 support for SBC, AAC, and other Bluetooth codecs.

Like the watch, the buds too are water-resistant and are IPX2 rated. They work with Samsung’s Bixby voice assistant.

Two of the main things to look at buying an earphone is the comfort and battery life. The design has especially been made for more comfort and more quality sound reaching in your ears.

Talking about the battery, The earbuds have 60mAh batteries each and the charging case has a 472mAh battery. The case has a USB Type-C port for charging and is said to offer up to 29 hours of battery life. The earbuds have a battery life of up to 8 hours. You can listen to one hour of songs with 5 minutes of charging. Thanks for the fast charge support.

This device also has active noise cancellation. This was a must-include feature. You have the support of touch controls for changing volume, playing the next song, adjusting the noise cancellation, etc.

Verdict

Well, the pricing may seem high but Samsung products are always premium and they do provide service like the price. The pre-order benefits are huge though. Samsung fans will end up buying anyway. The ones who are not will obviously look for cheaper alternatives.
