Due to increasing cases of Corona Virus once again, the Asian countries have decided to close their borders once again.

Hong Kong had decided to re-open its borders between the city and Macau, however, the recent spike in number of cases has forced the country to seal its borders.

It is now speculated that the Asian gaming market might experience another setback as several countries once again close their borders. Notably, the citizens of Hong Kong alone bring in close to 10-15% of gross gaming revenue.

However, the recent curfew and closing of borders might impact its revenues very seriously.

“We need to implement this decisive action to prevent the further spread of this virus and its new variants,” said a Government spokesperson, as reported by Gambling Insider.

Cambodia also banned outgoing travels for its citizens, and also shut down its casinos due to increasing cases.
