The gaming industry was swarming with new updates, trailers, launches and more, coming straight out of Sony’ State of Play Event and Microsoft’s Inside Xbox Livestream. The Last of Us 2 was another famous title that has managed to capture the limelight as Sony revealed during the State of Play Event that the title will be launching on the PS4 on February 21st, 2020. The title received a new trailer. And now we have new updates that confirm that ‘The Last Of Us II‘ won’t feature ‘Multiplayer mode‘.

In a recent interview with USG, Naughty Dog lead game designer Emilia Schatz explained as to why the company skipped the multiplayer mode in the highly-anticipated The Last of Us sequel. “We’re focusing on a single-player experience, so we’re just making a single-player game for this,” Schatz said.

The Last of Us II, sequel to the very famous The Last of Us, which was highly praised for its incredible single-player campaign, will not be featuring a Multiplayer mode. Furthermore, the prequel offered several popular multiplayer modes that brought crafting and survival mechanics into online deathmatches that will be missing in the sequel.

However, a Factions Mode will be available and the good news is that it will be included as a PlayStation Plus game in October. The Last of Us 2 will arrive on February 21, 2020.
