The All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) party who has stitched an alliance with Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi and formed Bahujan Vikas Aghadi Front has on Tuesday announced decided to contest Aurangabad Lok Sabha seat in Maharashtra for the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls 2019.
AIMIM Chief Party president Asaduddin Owaisi has named Imtiaz Jaleel, a member of Maharashtra Assembly, as the party candidate for the Aurangabad Lok Sabha Seat.
He was elected as a lawmaker in 2014 Maharashtra State Polls from Aurangabad Central Assembly Seat on AIMIM Ticket.
Following the announcement as a candidature from Aurangabad Parliamentary Seat, Jaleel took to Twitter and said “It’s time for my city to change. It’s not about me. From here on it’s always going to be ‘We’. Let’s all vote for Aurangabad,” he tweeted.

The AIMIM and Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi combine have been offered a single seat under the poll pact with Congress and NCP in the State.
As per the poll pact, Congress will contest on 24 seats, NCP on 20, Bahujan Vikas Aghadi on 1 seat, Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana on 2 seats, Yuva Swabhimani Paksha on 1 seat. Both NCP and Congress have also started rolling out names of Candidates in Maharashtra.

Maharashtra has a total of 48 Seats and will go to polls in four phases starting from April 11, then on April 18, April 23, and April 29.
General Elections are slated for April-May this year that would spread on Seven Phases starting from April 11 to May 19. Election Commission had on Sunday declared schedule for General Elections 2019.
Results for the crucial Lok Sabha Polls will be announced on May 23 four days after the 7th phase of voting.
