Highlighting the irregularities in state government, Bhartiya Janta Party delegation led by Dr. Laxman submitted a memorandum to Telangana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan in Hyderabad.

The memorandum was related to the issues of improper tendering and illegal mining process in the state. K Madhavi (Official state’s spokesperson), as quoted by ANI, said, “A memorandum was submitted on issues of illegal mining and irregular, the improper tendering process of the smart city works by the state ruling party to Tamilisai Soundarajan, Governor of Telangana.

The delegation accused the present government of playing in the hands of those companies that have been involved in illegal mining. They also accused the government of reducing the fine levied on them by issuing a memo, which is against the mining rules.

The delegation also questioned the unpaid taxes from the environment, labor and agricultural domain. Attacking the MLA of Karimnagar, K Madhavi said “Across India, all smart city works are progressing at a faster pace, but in Karimnagar, the sitting MLA or the other leaders are ensuring that the work does not progress because they want the work to be given to same contractors and not to anybody else.”

Tamilisai Soundararajan was made the new Governor of Telangana recently. Soundararajan, a Bharatiya Janata Party leader from Tamil Nadu, is the second Governor of Telangana. She succeeded E.S.L. Narasimhan.
