According to the confirmed reports, Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi had called a meeting of all the newly appointed Congress ministers in the Maharashtra government on Tuesday. It was told that Sonia Gandhi held the meeting at her residence (10, Janpath) in the national capital.
Sonia Gandhi has instructed the newly appointed ministers to implement the Common Minimum Programme in the state with much dedication. She also informed them that their work will be review regularly.
Talking to the media after the meeting, Congress leader “High Command will be reviewing the work of all the ministers. The leaders who have been assigned the ministry should firmly implement the common minimum program in the state of Maharashtra. There should not be any compromise with the ideology.”
This was first such a meeting of the state leaders with the party’s central leadership after a day Maharashtra cabinet took oath swearing on Monday. Nationalist Congress Party leader Ajit Pawar was sworn-in as the Deputy Chief Minister. In the ceremony, a total of 36 leaders from Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Congress, took oath as ministers in the Maharashtra government on Monday.
Earlier on the day, the leaders from Maharashtra had also met Rahul Gandhi. He held a meeting of his party ministers in Maharashtra government at his New Delhi residence.
