Vice-president Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated the CII Partnership Summit in Vizag on 24th February. During the inauguration, he said that India will become one of the world’s most vibrant economies.

During his address, he also talked about Andhra Pradesh being an investor’s favorite because of its stability and the leadership in the state. A summit is a three-day event organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry. It is being held for the third year in a row. He spoke about GST and demonetization as having long-term benefits despite the immediate disruption. He was all praise for Prime Minister Modi and the chief minister Chandrababu Naidu. Naidu also believes the center and state must work together to build a new Andhra Pradesh. he spoke about the opportunities for investors along the 974-km coastline in agriculture, food processing, electronics, seafood, and infrastructure.

Chandrababu Naidu said that Andhra Pradesh would soon be the number one state in the country. He pointed out that Andhra Pradesh is the only state to have a double-digit growth rate for 3 years in a row, 11.37 percent. He invited the investors to the state and that they would not be disappointed. Union minister for Commerce and Industry Suresh Prabhu also delivered an address. He said that Andhra Pradesh had faced many difficulties following the bifurcation but it was still the fastest growing state in India. He also said that with the New India campaign launched by the Prime Minister Andhra Pradesh would benefit. Exports and value addition of products it is believed will generate more revenue and jobs. He also laid emphasis on product designing as well. The CII president Shobhana Kamineni also spoke during the event. In the next five years, Andhra Pradesh is set to see rupees 10 lakh crores worth of investments and 20 lakh new jobs that will be created.
