BJP filed a complaint with the Election Commission regarding violation of poll code in the hands of Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy‘s cabinet regarding Nava Bengaluru Scheme.

BJP in Karnataka filed a complaint against Election Commission regarding HD Kumaraswamy violating poll code in the Nava Bengaluru Scheme. Earlier BJP leader J Shettar had complained the cabinet under Kanataka Chief minister was violating poll code prevalent in the state till May 25.

“Kumaraswamy cabinet passed a resolution and handed over the project without tender. Before the election, there was a collection of money from contractors, the project was handed over to those from whom they benefited.” J Shetter had mentioned earlier.

“For all this, the project has been handed over to limited contractors through the land army. All this happened through Venkatesh, who is very close to Deve Gowda family,” he added.

“However, the BBMP council has passed a resolution to hand over works amounting to Rs. 4,261 crore to KRIDL. The State Cabinet should have taken the decision. How did the council take such a decision unilaterally,” asked R. Ashok, former deputy Chief minister.

BJP said it’s not clarified how BBMP’s  Special commissioner Manoj Kumar Meena took the decision regarding proposal.Sources say the Chief secretary has put out a circular regarding this. however it is also said that the Election Commission had given exemption for inviting, final tenders, and giving orders for infrastructure, development works and procuring services after April 23rd.
