Stop criticising the government and allow it and security forces to do their job so that permanent peace and tranquillity is brought in the Valley, said BJP state spokesperson Virender Gupta to the opposition.

National Investigation Authority and security forces have started a campaign to eliminate terrorists, check money laundering and expose those involved in ‘hawala money transactions’ to finance stone pelters and terrorist groups in the Valley.

The BJP on 1 August called on all political parties to extend support to the government in its fight against Pakistan-sponsored terrorists and separatists in Kashmir. He added that the Modi government is determined to fight a decisive battle against separatists and the attempts to destabilise India. Due to proactive policies of the government, the situation in the Valley has improved to some extent.

On 2 August, authorities today imposed restrictions in parts of Srinagar in view of a separatist strike against the killing of a civilian, caught in the crossfire between security forces and militants in Pulwama. Mobile internet services have also been suspended across the valley. While there were no restrictions anywhere else in the valley, security forces have been deployed in strength at sensitive places to maintain law and order.
