Bhartiya Janta Party Former Law Maker from Ramgarh Constituency of Alwar District of Rajasthan, Gyan Dev Ahuja was booked on Monday for allegedly distributing money to his supporters during his roadshow before filing nomination as an independent candidate.
A Video that went viral shows, Ahuja, distributing money to his supporters. A case has been registered against him at Bani Park Police station under the section of the representation of the people’s Act, said the returning officer.
Ahuja who has been a three-time MLA from BJP-denied a ticket by the party this time-chose to contest the upcoming polls as an independent candidate from Sanganer constituency.
“My name was dropped by the party without even being informed, after pressure from my family, supporters, I choose to quit the party and will contest independently from Sanganer,” said Ahuja on Monday.
