Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy on Friday released an audio clip of a conversation allegedly between BJP State Chief BS Yeddyurappa and JDS MLA Naganagowda Kandkur’s son Sharana where BS Yeddyurappa made offer Rs 25 cr and ministerial post for his father.

CM HD Kumaraswamy aired the audio clip hours before presenting the Budget session. In a press Conference, he made allegations on Bharatiya Janata Party for toppling the Coalition government in the state by holding such negotiations.

While its coalition partner, Congress on Saturday held a press conference and slammed Bhartiya Janta Party. Speaking at the Press Conference, KC Venugopal, General Secretary of AICC attacked the Bhartiya Janata Party. He said as quoted by, ‘Entire country is shocked by hearing the news from Karnataka y’day. Karnataka CM released audio clippings of deliberation of Yeddyurappa with one of the brother of JD(S) MLA revealing dirty politics of Modi ji & Amit Shah to destabilize the Karnataka Govt’ said Venugopal as quoted by ANI.

Venugopal added, ‘It (audio clips) states that BS Yeddyurappa is offering Rs 10 Cr per MLA & in his deliberation, it’s clear there are 18 MLAs. Therefore it comes at the rate of around Rs 200 Cr. He’s offering 12 MLAs minister post, 6 were offered chairman posts in different boards’.

While pointing guns towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, KC Venugopal said, ‘He is also offering election expenses to MLAs after they resign. They offered Rs 50 Crore to the speaker for not disqualifying his MLAs. Clippings are referring to the names of Amit Shah & Narendra Modi ji for managing here & there through Yeddyurappa himself’ he added as quoted by news Agency ANI.

Speaking in the Press Briefing, Randeep Surjewala also racked up Bhartiya Janata Party. He said as quoted by ANI, ‘In what capacity is BJP Karnataka President & former CM discussing approaching SC judges to get the case right? Have Narendra Modi & Amit Shah given them such assurances? Has the SC become a ‘jebi dukaan’ of BJP?’

However, Bhartiya Janata Party State President BS Yeddyurappa dumped the allegations and termed the alleged audio clips as fake. He said, ‘the audio clips are fake and Kumaraswamy are expert in voice recording‘.

‘In a desperate attempt to save his govt full-time movie producer turned part-time CM @hd_kumaraswamy has used his connection to mimic @BSYBJP’s voice. Your fake hit & run allegations are not something new. BTW here is one of your audio’ said Bhartiya Janta Party Karnataka State Unit in a tweet.

Kumaraswamy had on Thursday also made a last-minute announcement of removing dissenting Congress Lawmaker Umesh Jadhav from the post of the chairman of the Warehouse Corporation. Lawmaker Pratap Gowda Patil will be replacing Jadhav.

Making Karnataka’s political crises more slippery, seven MLAs of Congress and three of Bhartiya Janta Party on Thursday abstained from the Assembly’s Budget Session, fuelling speculation of defection.

Congress who had called a legislature Party meeting had decided to initiate action against four party rebel MLAs under the Anti-Defection Law, CLP leader Siddaramaiah said told after the meeting.

Briefing reporters after the CLP meet, Siddaramaiah said he would meet the Assembly Speaker Ramesh Kumar and urge him to take action against Ramesh Jarkiholi, Umesh Jadhav, Mahesh Kumathali and B Nagendra. Uproar in Karnataka Assembly as BJP shouts Anti-Govt Slogans; Governor Vajubhai Vala walks out

However, It is not cleared that Bhartiya Janta Party will move a No-Confidence motion in the assembly or they will meet Governor Vajubhai Wala to request him to disqualify the Coalition Government in the state.

The CongressJD(S) together has 117 MLAs in Karnataka Assembly with Congress 80 and the JDS 37, while BJP has 104 in the 224-member Assembly. The halfway mark is 113. Since the Congress-JDS jointly formed the government in Karnataka in May last year, there have been murmurs of resentment among them.
