Janta Dal United JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar approached the Election Commission against the Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Yadav who is in jail under the accusation in the fodder scam case, is still signing the party tickets and distributing them and using his twitter handle under custody.

Neeraj Kumar submitted a letter to the Election commission alleging the RJD leader of having a conversation with the party members in spite of being under police custody. Neeraj Kumar in his letter sought a response from Election commission and mentioned, “Has the RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav took permission from the court before signing the party tickets.” JDU spokesperson alleged that if Lalu Yadav has not sought the permission from the court then strict actions should be taken against him and the candidature of those who have obtained the signature tickets from the RJD chief should be canceled declaring them as illegal.

In his letter, Kumar also sought the probe into the meeting held by RJD chief where he instructs his people on political ideas. He questioned the RJD chief of using his twitter handle to spread his political agenda while he is under custody and a convict. He alleged that if the account is being used by some other person, then how is RJD chief in contact with the person responsible for his twitter account.

Neeraj Kumar said that according to the manual of the jail provisions, the inmate is not supposed to discuss politics during the meeting with the outsiders. He said that most of the political leaders have indicated that the intention of the RJD chief was to discuss politics during the meeting.

The JDU spokesperson appealed to the Election Commission to take the necessary action against the RJD leader and his violation of the Model Code of conduct.
