Claiming that administration in Goa has become paralysed for the last 8 months, Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP), an ally of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Goa, demanded that CM Manohar Parrikar hands over charge to someone capable.

MGP President Deepak Dhavalikar said,”The central committee of the party has resolved to urge the government to find a replacement for Parrikar, who is ill, at the earliest.
Because of his illness, administration has been paralysed for eight months.
He should hand over charge to someone else as soon as possible.”

Parrikar is suffering from advanced pancreatic cancer and has been in and out of hospitals  for nearly 9 months.
